On March 8, 2022, Watertown Police Department received their first crime alert of a suspect breaking into cars in the Oakville section.

After receiving the notice, the police department acted quickly and sent out patrol units to investigate the matter. Additional units were sent out for assistance to the residents in those areas.

Afterward, several residents responded by tipping the police department with videos of the suspect. These helped identify the suspect, which caused an arrest warrant to be filed by Watertown police.

The suspect was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree, and Larceny 6th degree. The court set a $30,000 bond.

The Watertown Police Department said, “We would like to thank our residents for their assistance. This investigation is a great example of successful community collaboration with law enforcement making our town a safer place for all. Thank you again.”
