Your local cookie company has recently expanded bringing you the classic treat accompanied by coffee and ice cream.
The Itty Bitty Cookie Company, located on 659 Main St, Watertown, has relocated to a bigger space, just two doors down from the original shop. The store’s new location has also brought new items such as coffee and ice cream, from Rich Farm, served in the form of a cookie sandwich.
Store owner, Robin Grande said, “I focus on the cookies and what goes well with the cookie. If I come up with an idea I say, ‘does it go with the cookie?’ The cookies are the star of the show.”
The Itty Bitty Cookie Company opened in 2020, and as their business has thrived, they felt the smaller space they originally had was no longer practical. The official opening day for the new location was on April 12, 2022. Employee Danielle Maher explained, “[Robin] realized she had to expand because she was doing such great business. Thankfully we didn’t have to close, not for a minute. We were working here while cookies were still being baked and sold there. She was fortunate that everybody was able to collectively help her without having to lose any business.”
Itty Bitty Cookie Company offers a variety of flavors that differ from month to month. Grande said, “I change the menu every month. Every month I have 24 flavors and every day I do 10 flavors; I rotate monthly. Every day we do chocolate chip and sugar cookies, and the basic oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, and snickerdoodle cookies.”
Apart from cookies, Grande is looking to incorporate her next vision for the company. This would include parties that are cookie-centered. She said, “I want to do parties where you could come in and the kids could decorate their cookies, have pizza, ice cream, birthday cake, and take the cookies home with them. My other idea is kids can make a batch of cookie dough with me and they could put their own mix in the dough, while the cookies are baking they could have their celebration.”
Grande’s party ideas could be for kids or adults. As her idea comes to fruition, we have another one to look forward to. Grande’s future goals are to sell cookie dough for people to bake at home and eventually be in grocery stores.
With Itty Bitty Cookie Company’s recent relocation, you can expect brand new ideas to come and enjoy.
“I unlocked the doors one day and people started coming in; it was the craziest thing,” said Grande.
