The weather is getting warmer and kids are starting to get excited for summer, as a parent, where do you take them? Veterans Memorial Park, in Watertown, is your answer.
Veterans Memorial Park will entertain the whole family. The park has a large playground with swings, slides, and a climbing wall that will surely entertain kids aged two and up. For older kids and adults who enjoy playing sports, the park has a range of soccer fields, baseball fields, batting cages, basketball courts, and a softball field.
Surrounding the sports fields and playground is a sidewalk, ideal for walking pets or taking your kids on a stroll. The walk is about 0.6 miles.
Inside the park, you can also find a pavilion where you can bring and enjoy lunch or simply take a break from your sunny walk. At the same time, you can enjoy a nice picnic in one of the many fields located inside the park.
Rest assured that during your visit the local ice cream truck will drive by. The Circus Man ice cream truck often stops near the pavilion and serves those looking to enjoy some ice cream.
