Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury is Seeking Volunteers

This post expresses the views and opinions of the author(s) and not necessarily that of Watertown Brief management or staff.

Right here in our community, adults are working every day to build better futures, for themselves and their families. Some are learning English for the first time. Others are strengthening their reading and writing skills to qualify for a job, help their children with schoolwork, or continue their education. What they all have in common is determination, and the need for someone to support them along the way. That’s where you come in.

Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury (LVGW) is looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals to become volunteer tutors. No teaching experience needed and located at the Silas Bronson Library.
• 1–2 hours per week commitment
• Flexible scheduling (day or evening options)
• Work one-on-one or in small groups No teaching experience needed
• Comprehensive training and ongoing support provided

For over 50 years, LVGW has been changing lives through literacy, but this work is only possible because of volunteers. Contact us at lvgw-info@waterburyct.org or 203-754-1164 or complete the volunteer interest form

Be the reason someone succeeds. Volunteer with LVGW today.
